Mental Health First Aid – Neighbor



As part of the ThriveNYC citywide initiative, New York City is committed to training 250,000 New Yorkers in Mental Health First Aid, an 8-hour course that provides a proven five-step action plan on how to listen without judgement and choose the best words when talking to someone. The course is offered throughout all five boroughs in English and Spanish. Additional languages may be available on request.

In the course, you will:
– Learn a simple way to provide initial help
– Practice how to approach someone in distress
– Learn about other resources available through ThriveNYC
