Mental Health Minute 2018 | Heads Together

7

Today, for the first time in history, hundreds of radio stations got their #HeadsTogether to broadcast the #MentalHealthMinute.

The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry joined Lady Gaga, Dame Judi Dench, David Harewood and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill in a one-minute message to help change the conversation on #mentalhealth.

Spearheaded by Radiocentre and Radio Academy, with the support of Somethin’ Else, this historic moment marks Mental Health Awareness Week 2018, and is supported by hundreds of UK radio stations, from national networks such as those run by Global, Bauer and Wireless, to smaller local stations and community stations, together with BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and Five Live.

It has really impressed me how the HEADS TOGETHER CHARITY that Megan, William, Harry and Megan do so much for their country. During my research of the United States falls behind with mental health issues. I suffer with PTSD, Traumatic issues as well as family issues. I actually died in a serious motor vehicle accident, but was back to life. I spent 2 weeks in a coma and truly believe GOD has a purpose for me. I have tried to get help here in the U.S., but no psychologist or psychiatrist here ever wants to listen and will only spend 15 minutes with you and prescribe medications for depression and anxiety. I'd like to donate some $$$$ to your charity, it wouldn't be much as I live in an assisted living facility (for past almost 3 years and disabled). There is a saying "every penny helps). In closing where could I send my donation.
Sincerely Carol Deming, Florida of the United States.

What a wonderful idea…Just think of how many listeners can be helped by hearing this message. (I like it too, that even though you are readying for the big wedding, you still keep Heads Together out there)
