Hi Marie! My name is Camille, I recently found your channel, and I'm so grateful I did. I have depression/anxiety and trauma, and I have been struggling with going inpatient. It's such a relief to know it can be a safe place to get help, that someone had a positive experience. I am also hoping to start EMDR therapy soon, so hearing about this was helpful too. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, can't wait to watch more of your videos ๐Ÿ™‚

Better help is a pretty big scam. I know you mean well, but it has a lot of loop holes and it is pretty dodgy…

I used to do an art therapy kind of thing and I hated it. Put me off therapy for a while because it was so terrible.
Now I do online counseling and everything is fine.

  5. Andrea Wasiak says

My psychologist told me he's doing combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy with me.

I did CBT but just for anxiety and a slight low mood, no depression or personality disorder or any other mental health issue. I was very engaged with it because I was desperate to get better and I definitely found some of the skills useful and I use them most days, I can understand how it isn't for everyone though

  9. Naรฏ Sassine says

EMDR is actually very efficient for trauma and phobias. I had a very bad phobia of blood to the point where I would literally faint every time I saw the smallest drop of blood. I've had two sessions of EMDR and it's been miraculous. I'm still uncomfortable seeing like heavy bleeds and everything but I haven't fainted once in over three years.

ive had both CBT and DBT and they both really worked for me, i finished my DBT course in the summer and ive been amazing ever since xo

I started CBT for my BDD and eating disorder. I was only supposed to do 6 weeks of it but over a year later I'm still doing it. I started it because of my body dysmorphic disorder and because I think I'm disgustingly fat. So the therapist gives me evidence that I'm not fat to prove my thoughts wrong. So he'll be like your clothes are size 6-8. Do you think clothes that are size 6-8 are made for fat people. I'm like obviously not so he'll be like but you fit Into 6-8. So it's helping me a bit. I still think I'm dead fat but it's working xoxo

i found the same with NHS CBT, it wasn't personalised to me at all and he just gave me leaflets every week – unfortunately i've only ever found private counsellors helpful like i wouldn't be at uni today if i didnt go back to counselling in the summer! congrats on the sponsership ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. emsrecovery92 says

DBT saved my life got it once I got out of hospital and I finish in the new year!! ๐Ÿ˜€ honestly best therapy I've ever done

  17. Beth Jay says

I have BPD (or EUPD, whatever) and really want to do DBT. I've had CBT and CAT but neither of them work for me. I live just outside of Birmingham but under a different mental health trust and it's really annoying because they don't do it in my area but they do it in Birmingham. The only way I could get it would be either register with a Birmingham GP so I'm under Birmingham and Solihull trust or go to an inpatient rehab which I was kinda hoping for last time I was in hospital. I've looked into private but haven't found anything in the West Midlands, never mind locally.

I absolutely love these videos. Please keep them coming. I'd love a video on DBT x
