What Makes for an Effective Choice?

Increased Accessibility and Convenience

DBT Online Assessments offer an significant advantage and is incredible accessible. Traditional therapy models often face geographical barriers and rigid appointment schedules. In contrast, DBT Online allows individuals to seek help from the comfort of their homes at a time that suits them, reducing the obstacles faced by those living in remote or underserved areas. A University of Washington study illustrates this improvement, showing a notable increase in mental health service accessibility after implementing online therapy services.

Our scheduling system gives clients the power to set sessions at times that work within their daily routine. This flexibility has led to higher engagement and retention rates, as documented in a research study from the University of Michigan.

DBT Online also offers a level of anonymity, often encouraging individuals to seek help without the potential stigma or intimidation associated with traditional therapy. A survey published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research showed that this perceived anonymity positively affected individuals’ willingness to seek mental health treatment.

In terms of efficacy, our service has shown promising results. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry found that individuals participating in DBT Online saw significant symptom reductions in depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation.

As technology continues to advance, the delivery of therapeutic services will evolve to meet the demands of a digital generation. Whats is the Evidence of the effectivness of e-therapy?

Online therapy, also known as teletherapy or e-therapy, has been the subject of several research studies, and the published evidence attests to its effectiveness. A landmark meta-analysis in the Journal of Psychological Disorders (2018) found online Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to be as effective as face-to-face therapy for conditions like depression and anxiety disorders.

Another study in the Journal of Affective Disorders (2013) concluded that online therapy could effectively reduce symptoms of depression, often with effects lasting beyond the duration of the intervention.

A more specific form of online therapy, DBT Online, was the focus of a study in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry (2022). The results indicated a significant reduction in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation amongst participants.

Telepsychiatry, a form of online therapy, has shown positive outcomes for PTSD treatment in a study published by the American Psychiatric Association (2019).

Finally, a survey published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (2021) demonstrated that the perceived anonymity of online therapy could lead to higher help-seeking behavior among individuals, indirectly boosting its efficacy.

This body of evidence supports the effectiveness of online therapy as a legitimate alternative to traditional face-to-face therapy.

I completed all four modules of the DBT course in 2020, and I can honestly say my life has been changed. I received so much support from Jason & Jerinda throughout my sessions, and I always felt like I was in a safe space with them. Throughout the course, I built up skills that I am still using today. I now find everyday life easier to manage; feel more in control of my emotional responses; am able to to tap into 'wise mind' rather than thinking in black & white; and I have a number of coping skills that make emotional crises easier to manage, when they do happen. This is the best course of therapy I have ever completed, and I have tried many different kinds in my lifetime. Thanks to the skills I learnt on the course, and to my own hard work integrating them into my life, I now live a life that feels worth living. Thank you.

I have completed 2 modules of the DBT programme so far and I can honestly say it has honestly changed my life. I am not a stranger to therapy. 2 years ago I started general psychotherapy following the birth of my 4th child as I developed what I thought was PND. I also had a volatile relationship. Because of my personal circumstances, things progressively got worse. When I started the DBT programme I was lost, angry, hopeless and saw this as my last chance to solve some crisis of mine. 2 modules in, I feel refreshed and optimistic. I understand myself more and get boundaries. I am more productive and for the first time in a long while I can actually say I am happy. I will most likely revisit certain modules for a little refresh and will continue to use my invaluable DBT skills everyday. Thank you Jason.

I was feeling insecure, anxious and depressed. I have joined the DBT sessions. I found it so helpful and effective. Before DBT, l wasn’t aware of the skills. Jason and Jurenda are such amazing people with their knowledge and positivity. They were so supportive. They taught me the skills and motivated me a lot to use the skills. Gradually l felt l improved myself quite a lot and definitely l feel much better now than before. It also improved my self confidence. I am more aware of myself now than before. I learnt to be in wise mind rather than being too emotional or too rational. I want to thank Jason and Jurenda for their good work, support and kindness.
I've been working on my DBT skills with Jason for the past 9 months. In that time I have learnt enough repair damaged relationships with family, to begin to curb my unhealthy 'problem behaviours' and to start to build back up my self esteem and work on treating myself with kindness and compassion. I would thoroughly recommend DBT therapy, I think we all have a lot to learn from it. Without it and without Jason I wouldn't be where I am right now - I'm very grateful.
